New House story!
In last week's House, Wilson had this throw-away line about a steam room. I felt it called for a story. So I wrote one. House/Wilson, largely plotless, first time -- the usual, in other words.

House had expected a big wooden room with a dozen people in it. Instead the attendant led them down a hall to a door marked "11" and handed Wilson the key.

Inside was an anteroom leading to a small sauna, no bigger than a walk-in closet. There was also a whirlpool tub and a little daybed covered in navy vinyl.

"You bring all the boys here, don't you?"

House felt vaguely cheated when Wilson didn't rise to the bait. "C'mon," Wilson said, "chop chop," and started unbuttoning.

OH MY GOD! That was SO HOT! You built the tension beautifully. I was on the edge of my seat, and it was so perfect! Sooo very perfect. I adored every word of this story. I need to go read it again right now. And then again before bed. Yes. This is definitely a bed time story.

Wonderful banter, and a Turkish bath reference, as well! I don't know whether it was intentional on your part or not, but I know that the line from Autopsy put me in mind of the famously slashy Turkish bath scene at the start of the Sherlock Holmes story "The Illustrious Client," and I'm so pleased to see the connection fostered further...

I love the way you get me laughing and then hit me with a short, direct line — then don't — and the pit drops out of my stomach:-) That 'they're walking on the edge and they're about to fall, and they know it, and they're enjoying the knowing it' feeling.

Yay, you wrote it! And it's fab. I'm having trouble organising my thoughts to give a proper comments; I'm alternating between 'Guh!' and "Aww, bless...' You're one of the few writers that can pull that off successfully in a story.

what a steamy story (excuse the weak pun...)! loved it.

favourite line: "You seem to be operating on the assumption that I'm not interested." i think that's totally something house would say - if the writers ever gave him a chance C;.
